Nike's Recycled ad campaign.

To launch their campaign, ‘Nike Better World,’ the sportswear giant put together dozens of recycled ads and made a new one. The short video features footage from past and present Nike commercials, which also included excerpts from iconic athletes then and now. The recycled ads theme is part of Nike’s advocacy of making the world better through its eco-friendly products and projects.

The Nike Better World campaign is a series of products and community-based initiatives, from soccer jerseys made from recycled plastic bottles, to providing support for the annual Homeless World Cup, that reflect its core belief in sports as a vehicle for peace, and also a sustainable world.

One of Nike Better World’s projects involves using environment-friendly materials and recycled plastics to create lightweight but high performance athletic shoes. Other projects promote interaction and peace through sports, as well as promoting increased awareness for young kids as to the benefits of sports. To date, Nike has already put up many sports training centers for football and basketball so that even underprivileged youths can enjoy and love the game.
